Description: 
Black wool dress trousers with dark blue velvet stripes down the side of each leg; 5 button fly with fabric tab to the left at the top which fastens to a button inside the waistband; 2 buttons at the front on each side of the waistband; horizontal slit pockets on the front at each hip beneath the waistband (no rear pockets); 2 straps at the back beneath the waistband, straps fasten at the center with a rectangular metal buckle with double-tongued chape; waist and pockets lined with white cotton; leather stirrups at the bottom of each leg which fasten to a button inside the hem; all buttons cast with "BROOKS BROTHERS."

Description: 
Pair of naval engineer's epaulets; rigid, gold lace-covered strap with gilded metal button embossed with an eagle perched atop an anchor inside a border of stars; roll of gilt thread embroidery forming crescent, which once surrounded applied insignia (now missing); two layers of gold bullion fringe, the outermost measuring 3 3/8 inches in length and 3/8 inch in diameter; padded black velvet lining and cloth ties for fastening; in black painted metal storage box with rounded ends and incurving sides, hinged lid with flat top and wire handle, and oval interior compartment with detachable lid; box also contains four shoulder straps (INV.8289a-d).

Olive drab wool Army officer's single-breasted coat; double collar and shallow lapels, "U.S." insignia at the corners of the collar, crossed rifle infantry insignia at each corner of the lapels; shoulder loops with a button at the collar end, gold leaf at the shoulder end; 4 buttons down the front; a pocket at each breast and hip, with flaps that button closed, 3 color bars above left breast pocket; closed sleeves (no cuffs) with 1 band of yellow lacing around each wrist, patch on left shoulder; 2 panels at the back, skirt split below the waistline; all buttons cast with the Great Seal of the U.S.; inside lined with brown twill-weave silk.

Dark brown leather Sam Browne belt; vertical rectangular metal buckle at one end with double-tongued chape, opposite end is bell-shaped, with 2 hooks near the end, one capstand-shaped stud closer inward, followed by metal fing and sliding leather cuff behind; shoulder strap near the center attached to leather leather loop anchored to metal ring, nearly square metal buckle at the end with single-tongue chape, with leather strap extending beyond with capstand-shaped stud.

Miller has donated a substantial collection of N.Y.N.G. uniforms to the Society.

Dress hat with white wool crown with flat, roughly circular top and visor with oak leaf sprays embroidered in gold metallic thread on black felt ground; gilded metal insignia in the form of a shield-breasted eagle surmounted by a banner and a disk with thirteen stars; chin strap made of gold metallic cloth tape with leather backing, secured at either side by a button embossed with insignia similar to type attached to front of hat.
