Description: 
Black wool artillery dress trousers with 1" red stripe down the side of each leg; 6 button fly which fastens on the interior, right side watch pocket beneath the waistband, vertical slit pockets behind the stripes, 6 buttons around the waistband; 2 straps at the back beneath the waistband, straps buckle at the center on rectangular metal buckle with double tongued chape, no rear pockets; waistline lined with white silk with multi-colored pin stripes, pockets lined with white cotton.

Pair of officer's epaulets; rigid, gold lace-covered strap without button; gilded brass crescent surrounding domed circular patch with "22" embroidered in black on medium blue wool ground at center and embroidered border with diagonal stripes; two layers of gold bullion fringe, the outermost measuring approximately 3 1/4 inches in length and 1/4 inch in diameter; padded yellow silk lining and elongated metal hook fastener.

Pair of major's (or engineer's?) epaulets; rigid, gold lace-covered strap without insignia; gilded brass button embossed with shield-breasted eagle (missing on "a"); gilded brass crescent with roll of gold thread embroidery around outer edge; three layers of gold bullion fringe, the outermost measuring 3 1/2 inches in length and 1/2 inch in diameter; brass channel fastener with spring mounted hook.

Black wool double-breasted tailcoat with 1 1/4" closed stand-up collar (1 hook and eye) with gilt lacing near the throat; 2 fabric loops on each shoulder for epaulets; 9 buttons downs each side of the bodice front with horizontal black lacing between adjacent buttons, 2 color bars at the left breast; crossed flag insignia at the upper arm above 3-stripe gilt chevron, 5 rows of gilt at a diagonal above wrists, closed sleeves (no cuffs) with 4 buttons against gilt lacing; 4 panels at the back of the bodice with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, each tail has gilt lacing in the form of a vertical pocket flap with 4 buttons, metal 5-pointed star with spangles at the bottom of each tail; all buttons cast with "71" at the center; bodice and sleeves lined with white twill-weave silk, bodice lightly padded and quilted, tails lined with green silk, each tail has a vertical slit pocket near the waistline.

Red wool replica of 1810-1815 British officer's double-breasted tailcoat, with 2 1/8" closed stand-up collar (3 sets hooks and eyes), collar covered with silver colored gilt trim, lined with black silk; metal attachments at the shoulders for epaulettes, 5 sets of double buttons down one side (opposite side missing buttons), closed false cuff sleeves with 4 buttons against gilt ground, false cuffs lined with black silk, 3 panels across the back of the bodice, with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, insignia at the bottom of each tail with a crown at the top of wreath of oak leaves with a structure at the center on red ground; all buttons silver colored, cast with a crown with "T H (?)" beneath; bodice lined with cotton, breast lightly padded and quilted, waistband lined with red leather with metal clasp buckle at the center front, tails lined with white wool felt with a pocket on each tail near the waistline.
